Around The Garden, After The Rain

Overall,
the yard isn't that pretty,
the drought has taken it's toll,
but there are places for rabbits to scamper,
there is food to be harvested,
and there is beauty -
despite it all.

There's nothing better than produce and flowers from your own garden.

And did I mention how dramatic your sunflower is? I wallpapered my computer with it.

S, they're not overly sweet, which is nice.

AH, I post, you delight. How delightful. Here's a gift for your delighting: http://www.theartofdoingstuff.com/glowing-orbs

JE, except more!

bc, you always brighten my day, just by showing up.

Hey, Momma, how's it goin'?

PA, pears from a tree that our financial advisor gave us when DH's mom passed away. It's taken four years but it finally started producing. We've got a dozen jars of jams and preserves so far.

dmoll, Keating's time in the meditation garden has informed him that boundaries are a good thing.

AH, I recently discovered that I sit too close to the computer when I'm editing. You're right, the sunflower does look great as wall paper tiles. Thanks!

PA, he does run loose but because of his time living ferally he doesn't stray, he has a whole routine which is pretty comical. He runs around and around and in and out of the garden beds and he hides in some cantaloupe vines when he's tired.

Sounds like a rabbit in retirement. The flowers and fruit are sumptuous.

B52, Mr Bunnyman is still a whipper snapper so he's got to earn his keep entertaining us. There are parts of the garden that are more sumptuous than others. Overall though, it has really struggled until these last recent rains.

Your garden looks beautiful to me, especially those pears. I remember the pear pies my father-in-law used to make from the pears that grew in his yard. They were the best. I love that sunflower too. Leave it to AH to put it to good use.

Hi Paula, it is nice to see you posting again. We just rejoiced over the rain we have had during this past week. Like P'cola, Mobile is dry as well. Your pears are looking fine! Mr. Bunny is adorable.
