Paula, I can remember playing that hymn on the piano as a child. Beautiful photo -- I love that caladium, mostly white with that deep red veining. Genie
There is some much beauty on this earth, just waiting for the photographer to see. Thank you for seeing these leave, I always admire colourful leaves like this, perhaps that is one of the reasons I like begonias they often have beautiful leaves.
Banjo, that's what I meant by tributary--probably the wrong word--but you can see this same pattern in natural things that distribute liquid through a body (including the human body).

Quite striking. That red really pops.

The red is such a dramatic presence in this image...wonderful photo.
Agreed, earth beauty, beauty of earth, a gift and a prayer, both.
So beautiful. Like stained glass. A tributary.
Oh this is beautiful! I love this plant but never have any luck with it. A gorgeous shot.

What miracles spreading in every direction. We only need to open our eyes to see them. Thank you for this eye-opening image.
That's a knockout.
hastas?I want to wear it as a hat
Genie, I love that hymn too.
Jean, maybe I did that subconsciously for Sunday?
Jilly, caladiums are super easy, maybe you're thinking of something else?
JE, nobody does flora like you.
PA, this is a caladium, easy. Hostas are easy too. You're right about it being worthy of headwear.
Everyone, thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday.
Tell me that doesn't resemble human veins. Interesting.
Great picture, and love that hymn. It was used as the processional for the bridesmaids, groomsmen in my son's wedding last fall.
So vibrant and, well, a little ghastly. I wonder if these plants grow around Forks, Washington.
Really pretty....and your banner, wow.

You say veins/tributaries/ghastly and I say caladium. = : )
Bibi, I like the banner too, the sky always looks that big out there. One of my favorite places on Earth.
Great composition and colors!!
