Easter Sunday

These are the Easter lilies on the front porch of The Little Brown House, set there to commemorate the resurrection of Christ...

because today is Easter in the Episcopal Church USA, a member of the Anglican Communion. We are liturgists, congregants who invest in religious ceremony as a statement of our faith. Far from being empty rote words and actions, they bring us closer to Christ, especially on this holiest of days. However you spend today, I hope you find peace and renewal.

Happy Easter Paula. I wish you are wonderful and blessed time as our Easter day is drawing to a close.

With our out of sync seasons those flowers are known as Christmas lilies here ... both wonderful times in our Christian calendar

The celebrating trumpets are perfect for the day but the water droplets makes the picture exquisite.

I hope your Easter was very special. It usually is when you can take time to smell the flowers as well as contemplate the symbolism.

Hope you had a wonderful Easter. My mother-in-law ALWAYS had an Easter lily at home for Easter. We used to get together with cousins for an early dinner...we still do but miss her very much.
