Paula, that first shot is spectacular. You have caught the building in a graceful state of decay and the remaining panes of glass have caught an exquisite cloud-strewn sky.
This is my way to travel. Love your term "broke-down palaces."
If someone doesn't care about the Georgiana, ALs of the world, why should we care about the someone? One of these days I'll get shot asking some resident what it's like to live in Suchaplace, Illinois . . . I'm sure the question sounds condescending, but I just want to know. I always thought I'd live in some Suchaplace.
I'm fascinated by abandoned buildings. (Posting one on Monday, by coincidence.) I wonder about their stories and how their stories dissipated. Will they find another use or turn into archeology?

Great bws, in tone, texture, sharpness.
I like those windows and the peeling paint. You must have been close up to get shots like this.

The shot reminds me of Bank of America. We joined "Spank the Bank" and pulled our money out.
You can find 'em.

Intersting windows. The peeling paint adds so much texture.
