Wow. I can't quite get the figure-ground in the top one but is looks like water, perhaps in a zen garden. The high-contrast, high-saturation but dark colors of the second one really pull the eye in.
Wow the ripples image is a corker. Such a difficult thing to show; just getting the depth that alone the source of the ripple. Watching this is like watching fish in a tank. Incredibly restful.
What a lovely idea a "serenity garden". I can just imagine myself there with the ripple of the fountain and the lush green around me ... I am rested just from having visited your space today ... thank you.
Bob, it's part of a fountain that I'm photographing at different times of the day. Thanks for the complements, coming from you it means a lot to me. Julie, JE & PA, I've been photographing this garden on and off for the last month and each time I'm there I discover something new. I'm glad you you're enjoying at.
"Stare. It is the way to educate your eye, and more. Stare, pry, listen, eavesdrop. Die knowing something. You are not here long." -Walker Evans' (link)-draft text accompanying his hidden camera subway photographs.
About the blog...
I photograph the Pensacola area and chronicle my occasional travels with a Nikon D300 and a Canon S5 IS, occasionally with my ancient Fuji Finepix.

Does this mean??????
I want to know, too. That fountain shot is a knock-out.

Great colors in that water.
Very serene and very beautiful!
You don't need to explain a thing. Your text and photographs work beautifully together.
