Shadow Shot Sunday #42: Garden Shadows

I spent part of a sunny afternoon taking photographs of the phenomenal collection of yard art, fountains, and planters out at Earth Products on Sorrento Rd, just up the tarmac from the peeping ospreys I blogged about previously. For a different take on fountains you can look straight across to the right side of this page for my Abstractions blog and take a look at "blue mountains".

If you could have any one of these pieces of hardscape in your garden, which one would you choose?
Check out all of this week's shadowy goodness at Hey Harriet.

Number 3 for sure. It's got the right rustic look for my unkempt patch.

The photos are wonderful - when I saw the thumbnail on my dashboard I could not make out what the 1st one was, an tropical ocean photo on its side? fabulous color. But the 3rd photo is so perfect - warm, crisp, focused on giving the best view for the eye. I love that one.
(PS - thanks so much for your kind comments, they mean a lot to me.)

PS - I recently heard the newest Anne Rivers Siddons (Off Season) where she talks about watching and protecting ospreys. I never did look up what the birds looked like so I was delighted by you photos of them.

Love your header, PJ. And your birds...fabulous.

I'd choose number 3, it would go with life around here.

Having trouble leaving a comment below..
Anyway, good shadows and I would take number three for my garden..I can't grow a thing, maybe it would take everyone's eyes off my weeds.
Have a Happy SSS..

Love your shadow shots!

Also love the sand art in post above. For some reason, I couldn't leave a comment there.

Oh, and I love your home page banner, tool. ;-)

The blue colors in the first shot are wonderful. But I love, love, love your second shot. Perfect Shadow Shot. So happy you shared it with us in black and white. Have a great week!

These are all so lovely. The textures in the first shot are gorgeous. Love the blues! The shadows in the second shot are super, but if I had to choose which piece for my garden it would be that last one for sure. I imagine shipping if over here would be rather expensive ;)

OHhhh! Great shadows! I would have to say the first one holds my eye captive - the color is wonderful. Although I don't know if it would really fit in my garden - I'd sure try so that I could see that beautiful color every day!

Methinks my favorite is the first, but they're all wonderful. Love your header too ;--)

That's a tough call. But for my garden, it comes down to the wire between two and three, with two winning out by a hair.

I love all of your photos here: the texture of the third, the shadow and composition of the second, and the colour of number one.

Number two is my pick. I love your shadows.

Lovely, all, PJ. What struck me immediately, before reading your question, was what a great image that elephant pot would make in a rough hewn frame beneath our pergola.
Two thumbs up!

You really do very well photographing gardens and objects from the garden. Every time it's a big success. Something to think about may be..
